First, remember there are over 2000 colleges in the USA. Only a few of them, like maybe the top 20, are the "most selective" ones that turn down a majority of the applicants. By far most of the colleges in the USA accept most ofthe students who apply there.

So, you have pretty good grades (but you should know that a lot of colleges 'unweight' the GPA of their applicants and throw out the courses that arent real serious academic courses.) and your extracurriculars are good, too.

So you have a very realistic chance of getting into a good respectable school. You can check the ratings for schools in a list like the US NEws rankings, or check out the books at your library or school guidance dept. There's a books that a lot of people like called "College that Change Lives"

You can pick a big school, or a small one, a city school or a school in a beautiful town in the country. Because you have done a good job on your grades, you will be able to choose a pretty good school and have a good chance of getting in.

3.8 is a great gpa! and thats NOT all that matters... with all your extracurriculars, you've got a big chance at getting into lots of colleges.

yes, your probably not getting into harvard but you'll get into a good school. take the sat first since that matters a lot and then see. look at the average sat scores for the colleges you are looking into and speak with the admissions people about the requirements.
