Its a light assault troop carrier.
It was acquired as salvage in a surplus auction, an rebuilt as a personal mobile base of operations for the crew of the Bebop.
Its mostly Battleship Gray, while the deck of the hanger/launch deck, is in Brick Red.
Because its military surplus, its got a lot more texture to its exteriors in the way of Antene and sensor suites, vents and blisters for hull mounted hardware & weapons.
Vaguely its shaped like a commercial transport, as seen in the Anime series.

Greyish beat up cargo ship, usually plenty of battle damage...
