Okay, I would like to get an iPOD and I have seen how much space there is which is a lot, but the only thing stopping me is that I heard on the news and read an article online about it being bad for your ears and they were working on fixing the problem.

Is it fixed yet?

its the problem with the earphones, not the ipod.

and you can give your ears a helping hand by just buying those bigger earphones that hook over your ears if you don't like those big heavy versions, buy those that look like the ones you use on an airplane to listen to music.

this helps significantly reduce damage to your hearing as
it prevents external noise from entering your noise so since you wouldn't need to turn up the volumn so high that it will damage your ears.

safety rules if you are using the normal mini plugs.
1) turn the volume up no more than half of the volume gauge.
2) only listen to music no more than 30 mins. more than this can do some damage. listen.. then take a break.

other than that... if you don't abuse it, you are pretty safe.

The freaquency of all earphones is different regular sounds, that's Y. It's not fixed yet. My advice is to turn the volume down and dont listen to your iPod for more than 1 hr/day. Study says the big headphones that cover your ears are better, cauz it blocks outside sounds better so u'll turn the volumn down, get it?

iPods are bad for peoples hearing because you can turn the volume up way too high. And lots of people turn their iPods up really loud. But the bad part is that if they turn it up loud, they could go deaf and won't be able to listen to music anymore. Anyway, if you keep the volume low, you will be fine. They haven't changed the volume settings yet.

you need to be high-quality as long as you: A. hear on your MP3 participant at a sensible quantity (a reliable diploma of it quite is that folk around you would not have the skill to take heed to the track enjoying on your ears). B. basically hear to the MP3 participant with headphones for type of an hour or so an afternoon (in the journey that your listening with audio device you may decide for some hours an afternoon). P.S. on condition that i do no longer understand what style of participant you have I haven't any thought what 20-22 quantity ability.

There is nothing bad with the iPod. If you choose to listen loudly, thats your decision, not Apple's. You control that, you control your health. Apple has a new software update available where you can select the highest your volume goes. It is even password protected if needed.

Fixed? There's no fix-- except to create some sort of warning if your volume is too high.

Just keep the volume down.
