There are jobs in research, managerial jobs and other jobs that want people with a well-rounded educational background.

Indeed. A college degree is a college degree. In 37 years, only 2 have asked what field the degree is in.

yes, one of the supervisors here where i work has a degree in education. it seems that all you need is a degree, in what dosen't matter.
