I am aware of what ICU, ER, etc. stand for with regards to hospital departments and nursing specialties. But for some reason, I'm at a loss for L&D. It's kind of embarrassing! Thanks!

Stands for Labor and delivery..rooms of unit where ..pregnant woman are checked for relating problems..and where labor is monitered during the course of delivery of a infant...and where procedures are done at time of delivery

lol - Learning disability or lethal dose comes up at an internet seach.... guess that can't be it... since it is next to WIFI, I think it is long distance calls.
