my computer just turned off when I was using the internet , I cant turn it back on ... what is wrong with it ?

did you unplug it by mistake, don't take that as condescending. I flipped the switch on my power strip with my foot one time and it took me a while to figure out. Then when I did I felt rather silly.

That sounds like a pretty serious hardware problem. Check all the cords to make sure there are any loose connections. You might have a fried hard drive or something.

Plug something else into the outlet that the computer was in to make sure it is not the outlet that is the problem.

what kind of computer is it?
are there any lights on or fans turning?
desktop>is it plugged in to a known good outlet on a known good power bar with a known good cord?
laptop or desktop>have you unplugged and re-attached the plug?
laptop>try the battery alone, is it known good?

also try reseat the RAM and power connectors to the motherboard (CPU fan, main 20/24 pin, and CPU 4pin)
