I fear that people have not clearly read your question. You specifically inquired about the "boasting" not "roasting" of Marshmallows.
I feel that everyone should boast Marshmallows at last once. It's the least we can do to extol the virtues of these puffy little unsung heroes who have done so much to mold our lives. In support, I give you this; the Marshmallow, like people, can be molded. However, while a Marshmallow will regain its original shape soon after being molded, people often retain the mold that society forces us into. Indeed, we can learn a lot from this tasty treat.
Further, as many children learn in elementary school science class, the Marshmallow teaches us a lesson in resilience. Even after being subjected to the extreme pressures in a vacuum, the Marshmallow quickly resumes its shape once the environmental pressures normalize. How many of us can say we follow the Marshmallow's lesson in our own lives? Do we come back to life and resume normal activity after being subjected to unforeseen changes in our environment, or do we remain stretched out of shape, bearing the wounds from pressures that have long since been lifted? Even when facing certain death by the tortures of fire, the Marshmallow does not complain. It knows that it has served its purpose, and in one final gesture of giving, allows itself to be pierced and consumed for our nourishment. I remember reading a book where the main character submitted to such a self sacrifice for the good of all.
So, boast the Marshmallow? Indeed. I question, does mere boasting even begin to give credit to this sugary teacher of life lessons? I submit, we need to place Marshmallows on a pedestal, not simply in the candy aisle.
The personal lesson I’ve learned from the Marshmallow is this: While we can be fearful of change, the Marshmallow, when changed in to Fluff becomes even sweeter and even when spread thin remains incredible Smoooove…
Peace.
