its nt really a rule or law.its more of lane dispicline and to alert the other motorists on the road.for an example, if a car is speeding quite fast from the back, and u just change into his lane without signalling, an accident or what might happen.so it will be better if one can signal before changing lane.

No! no such law in Singapore. Is just a warning to others of my intention. Should an accident occur, I'll can said that you never turn on your signal, no proved of it unless a strong witness (outsider) where there is no relation to any of the drivers.

a alternative aswer to this question is. Do what you want others to do to you. If you signal ( meaning you're polite), you would like a polite answer ( meaning letting others give way to you ), but i know that does not always happen. That's why singapore is not one of the countries listed in the friendly country list. Ha..

No, they must find a place to put it before they can change lanes, if no place is available U don't have to give them an inch.

only the law of common sense. on the other hand, if you dont yield & theres an accident, you get that other law (the one with the blue light)

No. You could have easily checked online as all traffic laws are posted by each state government.

Depends on where you live. But it is kind. When you start letting people in they quit cutting you off. It's like magic!

No, but it is pretty petty and contributes to traffic backups and wrecks if you dont be courteous and do the right thing.
