You shold take a look at the book "Writer's Market"-- they have an extensive listing of magazines, journals, and other types of publishers in just about every imaginable genre. Which means you can search for the one that is just right for your poems. If you don't want to spend the money on it, head down to your local public library and see if they have a copy. Every listed entry is reputable.

If you are interested in publishing a book, you should search for a literary agent. The best place to start that search would be, appropriately enough, the "Guide to Literary Agents",

NO reputable publishing house or agent will ask for money up front!!!! They make money when your book sells. If you are paying for the book to be published, it is a vanity press. Stay away!

Another excellent resource for sniffing out scams is Preditors and Editors. They list agents, publishers, contests, and much more. I highly recommend researching there:

Keep in mind that everyone gets rejected. But if you are persistant, your poems will find a home!

Oh, and stay away from poetry.com. It's a scam. They publish anything as long as you can pay for a copy of the "anthology".

Think about why you want your poems published. Is it for validation -- do you think that being published will prove to you that you're a good poet and your work is worthwhile? It's clearly not for money. Is it because your poems are so much better than all of the other poems in existence that strangers should buy your book and read it?

Ask yourself whether this is something you really want to do. You can be a good poet on a small scale, sharing your poems with friends and family, where your poems will be genuinely special and new, or you can be a mediocre poet on a national scale, where your poems will go unnoticed amid the thousands of other vanity projects.

If this is something that you really want, then you'll have to work your way from the bottom up. Go to the library or Barnes and Noble and find all of the magazines, literary reviews, and journals that publish poetry similar to what you write. Get their submission guidelines. Once you get enough work published in periodicals, you'll be in a better position to negotiate a book deal. Keep in mind that this almost never works, however, for anyone -- much less someone who can't be bothered to spell "dilemma" correctly.

Are you looking for a place to post your poems on the Internet? If so, I would strongly recommend you avoid doing that. So many decent writers have had their work stolen after they posted it online. If you are looking to publish your poetry in a book of poetry from, say, Random House, then talk to your English teacher. Usually, if the poem is decent, you can submit it to be published.

The best way to get your first pieces of writing published are to submit them to the journal or newspaper of a local junior college or to the college which you attend/attended. After you have published a piece, then move on to submitting to a professional journal. If you go to your local bookstore, you will find periodicals that are scholarly or artistic in nature. You can get the submission requirements directly from the publisher and submit your work (free). I wouldn't dream of paying someone to publish my work! If my work is worthy of being published, then I am the one who should be paid.

Go to Poetry.com and submit a poem or two...it is a great way to get some exposure...they also have a great contest that ends with a book deal. So pick out your best stuff and see what happens. Good luck

The suggestions above are all good. If you just wanted one volume for yourself you might be able to just print up on your computer and bind it yourself.
You might submit to different magazines. I don't know you type of poetry. But Country& Reminisse magazines sometimes publish people's poems. Woman's World.maybe.

Publish it right here on Yahoo Answers and ask for feedback on your poems.

Try Poetry.com, an online place to post your poems. And they will offer to publish your works.... but as separate pieces in different poetry collections, not all in one volume.
