Your OB would be the best judge. Some women do it before leaving the hospital shortly after a vaginal delivery.....usually the next day. In the case of a c-section, it can be done immediately after the baby is delivered, which is what I did.

I had my tied the day after and I know many others that did the same... I would ask you Drv or insist that while in the hospital anyway after giing birth that they might as well do your tubes too!!
It's very minor surgery and I had no pain or problem as far as recoup time after... best thing I ever did>>>>

Immediately. Many women who have a C-section have it done at the same time. It is something you will need to speak about with your OB.

I believe that sort of operation can be done right after delivering a baby, however i am not certain, your best bet would be to consult a physician!!

If you're having a C-section, many doctors will do it right then.

Otherwise, I think you have to wait a week or 2.

I had my daughter on a Thursday morning , and Friday morning I had a tubal ligation and was home on Saturday .

talk to your Dr. i had mine done while i was still on the table after giving birth. it was less expensive that way too.

if you have a c-section they do it before they close you up, if you have vaginal, you have to wait to get an O. Room and they can do it through your belly button or transvaganily
