Bible teaching church that only teaches the old testament? can't understand why the new teastament is not taug

Are you sure is is a Christian Church? Jewish Synagogues teach only from the Torah and other Old Testament texts because they do not believe Jesus was more than a prophet like others before him. Much of the Old Testament in the Christian bible is straight out of Jewish teachings and the first 5 books are know to the Jews as the Torah or the books of Moses.

The old testament is like history. Lots of wars and struggles, but basically a memory of what religion was like before the events of the New Testament. The New Testament is loaded with very challenging ideas like the idea that Jesus was a man like other men. Also, that Jesus was surprised that his death was so painful and hard.
Fundamentalists can not handle the new testament because it is hard to direct people when talking about or explaining the New Testament. It is such a challenge to any Human that reads the story of Jesus. His life was a life of great accomplishments and painful failure he thinks at one point.
It is very challenging to understand the New Testament, then and now, but it is so powerful as you begin to understand Jesus perspective and the concentration and devotion required to live a good life.

Depends on your point of view.

For some christians, the jealous, violent god of the old testament fits more with their world view than jesus does.

Or maybe they're jews. Jews don't believe in the new testament, just the old one. Jewish houses of worship are called "synogogues", not churches. (i may have spelled that wrong)

well first of all it all lies into which church you go to.i go to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints where the new testament is taught
