I don't have a tutorial but here are some hints.
* Have the whole of the front be a photo.
* Arrange the text around the photo.
* If the photo has people on put the people on a seperate layer above everything else.
* Don't forget a barcode, this should go in the lower left.
* Put the price and the date in small near the top left.
* The heading should either be centred at the very top or in a box in the top left.
* Stuff on the left should be left aligned, stuff on the right right aligned.
* The magazine should lead on one headline that is bigger or in a different colour (or both).
* If this is a fake magazine cover you'll need to make some fake text just to fill it up.
* Stick to 2 or at most 3 colours for text, use one for titles and the other for spiels.
* Magazines are usually 10 3/4 inches in height and 9 1/4 inches in width.
* If this isn't for print you can create a layer at the top and use alpha effects (maybe gradients) to make it look glossy.
* Non of these rules are unbreakable these conventions help create a magazine feel.

Photoshop isn't in basic terms used to alter physique shapes. from time to time a photograph would be as ideal as you gets, yet there will be a flyaway hair or a reasonable "imperfection" (say freckles), and that's theory that changing it may well be extra beneficial. On Cindy Crawford's first magazine cover, they bumped off her mole! She's no longer a skinny sort, however the factor i became making is that even whilst it is not something substantial, consumers'll turn to Photoshop to get their theory of perfection.
