were are friends for about 16 years but still we care and respect each other but we give importance as well.

My friend, you are treading on dangerous ground. You risk losing both your friends and your spouse as well. A sixteen year friendship is a wonderful thing but if you ever cross the line into a romantic situation you can never go back. It's not worth it and you will feel awful once you've quit being just friends. Watch the movie, "Places in the Heart".

No, it is not OK to express your mutual feelings, you have too much to lose by doing it. Somethings are better left unsaid> This is one of them. You could end up losing your friend by expressing your feelings, if you already feel the feelings are mutual, then you both already know.Once you express it, your friendship will never be the same. Enjoy what you have, and keep respecting each other.
