I used to do it every single day, and now I did a vow to not do it for 4 weeks, and it's like the 3rd week and my emotional health is just real low. Like, I'm totally frustrated and depressed, with feelings of self-hatred and masochism. Not really sure what my question is, maybe I'm asking if this could be an effect of sex deprivation or maybe it's totally unrelated.

Why would you do such a stupid thing? What do you think that thing between your legs is for? Use it man, every time you skip a chance to orgasm is one less orgasm you will experience and enjoy in your life time. I am 67 and I still masturbate at least once a day and sometimes more. I enjoy it, it makes me feel good and I treat the people around me much better because my nerves are not on edge. Don't ever deprive yourself of enjoyment, it's not worth it and no one else really gives a rat's a-s-s.

Congratulations. I really admire your dedication and effort to take this vow. So far you have just demonstrated to yourself that you've got the self-discipline so many do not.

I don't know why you decided to commit to such an act of will power however, it is courageous. Buddhist monks practice the act of celibacy their whole life. Men in training such as famous boxers (Oscar De La Hoya) and many others training for the Olympics practice celibacy for their training too.

Don't be depressed, right now you're just in the stage of emotional and psychological weakness. The best thing to do at this point is keep yourself physically active. Start jogging or weight lifting.

You might think that your body shut down because of sperm build up which is a myth. The release of sperm does not help you; in actuality, you're at your strongest point.

Natural male testosterone enhances muscle development, strength, and endurance also a natural euphoric in most sports.
I'm celibate too. Trust me, after a while it's mind over matter. Good luck!

Masturbation is as normal as eating, breathing or walking and in fact might be considered less of a risk to your health than any of those three when one considers air and water pollution, contaminants in food and the odds of getting hit by a truck.

So why in heck would you vow to stop doing something you enjoy and that is actually good for you? No wonder you are suffering. If you don't resume your masturbatory habit quickly, your penis might go on strike and refuse you any future pleasure. So, take matters in hand and get back to the daily grind (pun fully intended).

Well sweetie if its bothering you this much...then why dont you go back to doing what you were doing in the first place? Plus, you've already made it through 3 weeks , so give yourself some props for that. By the way when a guy masturbates its such a turn on ♥

Hope I helped

why would you take a vow like that? that is pointless. humans are supposed to masturbate. this is obviously true given your current state. forget that vow and whip it out and take care of business right now!

Why are you trying to go without? Masturbation is a normal act for most men.

Its all hormonal... You should deff. work out (i.e. lift weights) that will deff. balance out the depression... Also maybe you really really like watching porn, and taking that away is kind of depriving...

Lift some weights and you'll deff. see an imporvement in emotional health...

It's good to depirve yourself for like a week. For me it helps me clear my mind. but you gotta go back sometime. Masturbation isn't dirty. It's actually good for you given that you aren't doing something uber disturbing aswell. Free yourself!
