A torn ligament can be identified by a doctor using the exams as you see in the link below. In addition to the examinations mentioned above, the doctor may also press gently over your kneecap to feel for fluid in the joint, especially if the injured knee is not severely swollen. Other tests to help with diagnosis may include an X-ray (to rule out a broken bone) and MRI scan.

I agree you extremely do no longer prefer to play around with you knee, nd im conversing from adventure. i became enjoying Ice Hockey, so I anticipate to get some injuries, yet I took a foul slam into the boards and had a participant land appropriate onto my left knee. the 1st rfile I observed suggested it became purely twisted and that i could heal in some weeks as long as I saved off it. After approximately 5 weeks it saved giving out on me, and that i could no longer stand. So I went to a diverse rfile, had CAT scans and an MRI, I had truthfully torn my ACL, MCL carried out extensive ligament injury and truthfully positioned a fracture in my knee. i became on crutches for 6 month and that i nonetheless get problems with my knee now very almost a 300 and sixty 5 days later, because of the fact i did no longer pass decrease back quickly sufficient as quickly as I knew some thing nonetheless wasn't appropriate. i do no longer understand how plenty an MRI could fee (as here interior the united kingdom its lined by ability of the NHS so i do no longer pay) yet notwithstanding if it does fee alot is your well being rather properly worth risking. I truthfully have been advised my knee will by no ability be as stable because it became, because of the fact I waited around and dtook too many opportunities with it, and im purely 22, meaning I truthfully have alot of years of issues forward. Dont probability it

Duh, have you ever heard of seeing a doctor? Don't screw around with a major joint like the knee unless you want problems for the rest of your life.
