I'm sure i will get a million thumbs down for this one, but i believe everyone has the right to make their own decisions. While i would never have an abortion myself, i believe in prochoice, it all depends upon the situation. If someone is using abortion as a form of birth control then i definatly dont agree, but if someone was raped by their father, brother or an uncle or some horrible thing such as that, i believe that person has the right to decide weather or not they want to keep that baby. What kind of life would it be for that child, you have to think about that too!!

Abortion, or another unwanted, malnourished, abused and neglected child in the world?
I'm not pro abortion if that were the case I would think all pregnancy's should end that way, I'm pro choice, why force a woman to have a baby she is not ready for, whatever the reason? Everyone screams it's murder, what about the babies left in the trash, because some scared girl was afraid to go to the abortion clinic and be seen? What happens to a lot of these kids that are born to mothers that don't want them. I think it's better to end it in the womb than when the kid is 3 yrs old digging in the trash for food because mommy's too busy at the crack house or whatever. Social services is already bogged down because of all the neglected and abused kids. You want the kids born, but then what? Are you the one taking care of them? Or the woman who's husban/boyfriend just left her and she can't make it on her own let alone with a baby to care for, or whatever the reason. Rape, incest. There's no black and white, there's a lot of gray in this area. I don't think anyone has the right to force a decision on another person, when it's impossible to live in their shoes.

Against it is not the babies fault the idiot mother was to stupid to use protection and the fact remains that none knows if God is against it and according to ever priest out their he is.

For jamesnjaime your post was 100% false and you should be ashamed of yourself and stop sitting her assuming you know about young mothers when you do not know freaking jack.

I was 16 when I got pregnant and am now 19 and in College, my life is far from ruined and I have NOT once needed any tyoe of help fro mthe goverment.

D not sit here and speak of what you do not know, having a baby young can make things more difficult but it sure the hell does nto ruin your life.

To the poster Erin I suggest educating yourself. The heart starts to beat at 6 weeks making it a living thing and in most states you can get an abortion up to 21 weeks and guess what kido at 15 weeks a baby starts to kick and at just 2o weeks it is actually very possible to live outside the womb.

My mother is a damn GYN so do not sit here and try to post false information because you know what hon it is going to come back to bite you in the a**

Against, but I do support the use of the morning after pill, which I think should be given in every rape case and be availible over-the-counter.

I also support early-term abortion in the instance that something has gone terribly wrong and the mother's life is in serious danger.

I do not think that an abortion should be available to people who 'just aren't ready' or are 'too young' but who can't be bothered to remember to use protection.

I think that if you think you are big enough to lay down and make the baby, you should have to own up to your own actions and raise it, or put it up for adoption.

I'm for it its a women's choice and if they want an abortion they should have one we don't know what the circumstances the women are in they might of been raped or decide there pregnant with twins or more and a doctor says a reduction in the babies will help grow a healthy baby people who are against abortion do not know what they would possibly do unless they were in that position

I'm pro-choice. I don't know if I would have one myself, but I don't think anyone should have the right to tell me what to do with my body. I do believe there should be restrictions on how late they should be done. I don't believe that having an abortion is killing a baby, grow up. It's a fetus. I think that the government should put more money into educating the public on contraception and getting people to practice safe sex. I think that people need to stop focus so much on stopping abortions and focus more on stopping the unintended pregnancies.

There are many instances where a women gets pregnant by mistake (e.g., broken condom). There is nobody that should say "you HAVE to be pregnant 40 weeks, pay for your prenatal care, buy maternity clothes, sacrifice your career and life, and raise a child on your own or put it in an orphanage". The baby is no more than a 'thing' (snake, toad, or other being) in the very early stages. Why should a women have to sacrifice her life and career when a man can walk away?? I think an early abortion is totally a woman's choice.

I am pro-choice..
However, this doesn't mean that I would have an abortion myself.. It just means that I think a woman has the right to make that decision of her body and live with the consequences if there are any..
I personally, would never have one..

Depends,
My first was unplanned and when I was 16, I never thought about an abortion then.
2 yrs later I had one because the baby barely had a heartbeat and the doc said that there was a lot of blood in my uterus and there was a chance I could hemorrhage. Since the baby wasn't dead, it was considered an abortion.

I am all for the right of a woman to make a choice about her body. Would I abort-no but I don't think that anyone has the right to tell me what to do or judge me on it. Last time I checked there was only one that can pass judgement. Christians seem to forget that pretty fast.
