what do you mean by causes, hacking is just ppl exploiting security holes in networks, websites, or computers

Causes of computer hacking, well the only "cause" is if someone targets you specifically for the wrong reasons.
But if you meant to say, what causes the intrusion, meaning what is missing from your computer that enables the hacker to get into your computer, then the answer to that is a firewall. A firewall keeps intruders away from your computer, more specifically by blocking the most common ports that hackers use to target. And it blocks malicious network activity that resembles that of a hacker.

plz don't confuse computer hacking with computer cracking, hacking is very different from cracking, people often mistake hacking for cracking
people hack to learn new things, and to make new software to enhance stuff and make it better. and computer crackers do it just for fun, and for evil purposes, and computer crackers often just type type and type until their keyboards break or the computer their cracking breaks. and sometimes in some cases if they live in poverty, sleeze bags would steal people's identity for some things they want but they can't buy with their money
