Of course, it's normal. Nobody knows what to expect during any pregnancy. Have faith in yourself. Allow medicine to be an option and make sure you get the hospital early enough. You can only 'do' what you can 'do'. Be good to yourself and rest as much as possible. It's a very big challenge and change and expect to be exhausted at first. Take care...you'll be fine!

Just like everyone has said before...it is normal to have all these worries and fears...and just like everyone has said....you'll forget all about those worries and fears once you have that teeny baby in your arms. Just remember that your doctor and the nurses are there for you. They will be with you and coach you through everything. Be open to the idea of medication. If you can't feel when to push, the doctor will tell you when. They have great machines that tell them when you are having contractions and machines that monitor the babies heart rate. They'll know how you and the baby are doing before you do! :D Atleast that is what it will seem like. Don't be afraid to let the nurses tend to your baby in the nursery while you get some good rest. You will be exhausted afterwards. You must take care of yourself so you can take care of that beautiful child that is coming into your life. It will be beautiful...it is a tiny little piece of you. Congratulations!

Dont worry, we all have those thoughts. After 38 hours of labor (epidurals ROCK) I was really worn out. My doctor said it was almost time to start pushing. I nearly started to cry thinking "oh no! I dont know HOW to push!" then my doctor said "3, 2, 1, PUSH!" and I did! I have no idea how, but I did. Dont worry hon, you will do great, your baby will be beautiful, and you always have the option of pain relief. Some women say they want to "experience" their birth by feeling all the pain. Well, I was in labor a LOOONG time. My epidural wore off before the acutal birth, but I was grateful for it while it lasted. The way I see it, if you are so out of your mind with pain that you scream and cry like some women, is that really a good experience? I appreciated the few hours of being able to rest up for the pushing, and be close to my husband.

These are all perfectly normal fears of any pregnant women. I had them myself also. But once you go the hospital for the delivery everything will just come naturally. And of course you will always have the doctors and the nurses there to help and guide you. when the time comes to push you will feel the urge to do so at the right time. And when you see your baby's face for the first time you will forget all the pain and everything and just be amazed that you could bring such a tiny and beautiful human being into this world.
So dont worry everything will be just fine, and I wish you all the best!

This is all very normal. I am due to have a baby soon too- my 3rd. I just had a doctors appointment and she told me that the baby will probably be here in 3 weeks rather than 6 weeks like we thought. Now, I am so nervouse about getting use to another baby.

As for what you meantioned:
Labor- the doctors will help you with each step of this and your body will tell you when you need to push.
Pains- Yup there will be, but after it is over and done with you really don't care because you see your babies face.
Healthy- I pray for you that this will be, but trust in your doctors.
Baby looks- The baby could be so ugly but too you it will be the most beautiful thing that you have ever seen.

You will be fine- remember to enjoy your baby!

Hi! Everything you're feeling is totally normal!
You will go through every emotion imaginable in the next few weeks!
Its funny, pushing almost seems to be instinct!
If you are concerned about pain, you could have an epidural...I did, and I don't regret it AT ALL!!!
If your baby has been healthy up until now, I don't see any cause for major concern!
Try to enjoy these last few minutes/hours/days of being pregnant!
Best of luck mommy!

Just remember to ask for an epidural - and eat lightly. You'll know how to push, the urges will be there naturally. As for having a healthy baby - since you are full term, you have a super success rate.

This is all normal. But, no worries. When it happens, it's only a small part of your life. Your baby is the rest of it.

You just being normal. Try to be relaxed this happens all the time. If, you been eating well and active everything be fine. Actually being active make things go better. I have been with many friends during this wonderful time. Be excited and do not worry, though it normal. Heck, I would be there with my Camera and Catcher's Mitt and everyone loosen up. Remember the Doctors/Nurses know their job and will make things comfortable as possible.
