Hey that's kind of mean.... but I guess it could be true. ummm it's sounds pretty cool to me but I know it's fake. Maybe they just want to get away from reality... ugly guys probably do it to meet the chicks into witchcraft

Wellll,
for many, what you call an 'over active imagination', is "the sight", the ability to perceive things/ forces/ beings that other people do not perceive.
The only real question is, do their lives work out better if they are involved in witchcraft, or not?
Only they, each one, can answer.
As for the other part of your question, imagine being fat, ugly, or both, and finding an activity with a lot of women where your presence and interaction was invited and valued. Guys who aren't fat, ugly, or who 'have a life' get valued by women in other, easier ways.
Not that I believe your assertion, since I know many beautiful male witches (usually with an overactive imagination), and all of the mages and witches I know have lives....

id love you to see what you said, an over active imagination! generally its those that ask the best questions. and they question everything and like anyone smart enough to question the church and the bible they find out its all bullshit so they go back to the old ways that made more sense. i mean think about it why would any sane person want a god that is so sadistic that he makes everyone suffer for one persons sin (everyone suffers for eve eating and making adam eat the apple its called original sin and why your baptized) then creates it so your body would desire sin at even the hormonal level, then wait patiently for you to die so he could punish you for sin? what sane rational person would possibly believe that a person much less a god who is jealous is also supposed to be unconditionally loving? doesnt make any rational sense whatso ever and yet the people that do believe this crap are not satisfied until they shove it sideways down everyone elses throat? all the violence all the wars and rape and murder and child molestation that just the catholic church is responsible for and that is the first christian church to ever exsist and they havent improved one bit since. how is it they call pagans crazy? how is it they call pagans over active? makes me wonder quite a bit. but then look at the idiot asking the question and it only adds to the point i am making about this. to every one reading this i would seriously ignore any future questions or answers from this biggot fool. hope this helps everyone else.

because they have time to learn and study it, rather than looking into a mirror and worrying about what others think of them. By the way when you next go to a spiritual festival or convention look again you will see grounded women and "attractive" guys

I have to say, most I know where raised into their beliefs as most children following in their parents religion.
However assuming the intent of this question, my guess would be to be more unique, or as a rebellion to common practice.

umm actually witchcraft isnt that weird.. i read a book on it once.. their basically qorshipping a male and femal god that created the world and i think its just like any other religion.. there's not that much "magic" in it like they can't ride brooms or anything.
