is just another ploy for these as$hole politicians to use in their useless elections?

They outsource 300,000 jobs but they worry about banning cellphones... Why don't they ban caffeine and talking with a friend while driving while they're at it?

huh - that doesn't even make sense! the "they" you talk about are the companies that are trying to give "you" american's the lowest price but "you" american's want to be paid ridiculous amounts of money. if it costs $7 to make 1 item that costs $2 - gee what do you think it going to happen.
start supporting our own - BUY AMERICAN

The problem occurs when people who don't have the necessary motor skills to walk and chew gum at the same time, believe that they can operate a 2-ton motor vehicle and chat on a cell phone at the same time. I saw this genius on my way to work this morning. She's driving a huge buick while eating out of a bowl of oatmeal or something with the bowl in one hand and a soup spoon in the other, and chatting away on a cell phone attached to a curly cord plugged in to her lighter socket, with the phone tucked between her shoulder and her third or fourth chin. It's a wonder this bimbo didn't kill someone.

Just one more thing I didn't know 'til that poor guy drove his plane into the building. What's up with this cel phone thing? I think Bloomberg thinks he's God - just because he has some flunky carry his lunch (and cel phone) for him. Must be nice to be a zillionaire.
My son GOT his cel phone on September 12, 2001. He was 11 - but I wanted him to always be able to reach me and vice versa. That's one law I'd break. Now, since I've changed "plans," I text him when he's in school if I need him for some reason - and vice versa. He's just learned to be careful.
P.S. Don't tell anybody - it's a secret.

I think cellphones, radios, and chatty friends should be abolished. While operating a vehicle, it is best for everyone if we would all concentrate on the task at hand. That is getting to our destinations safely. The highway is no place to practice multi-tasking. Would you "thumb your nose" at the politicians if they said that they want make it illegal for children to play outdoors because the world is a dangerous place to live?

Driving while gabbing is dangerous. I myself am as guilty as the other guy. There is a loophole currently used by some law officers. Its called inattentive driving.
