Not a religious private school with a uniform, but a prep school with a very strict dress code. Where can I find the "prep" look? Without spending too much money...

hey i went through that! my favorite stores suddenly became sears (dont laugh, they do have some good stuff) walmart, target, jcpenney, value city (seriously, i saved hundreds going there, but you MUST be creative.) dont rule it out entirley if youre not, they have some eagle stuff!, tj maxx, and my absolute favorite was GOODWILL!! if you like to browse, you can find stuff easily. good luck with your school. dont give up hope when you see price tags. if something looks good but just costs too much, continue shopping, and if you still want it a day or two later, scrape together the money and SPLURGE! just dont do it too much.. good luck!

It relies upon on the place you're going. At my inner maximum college, women can positioned on plaid skirts or skirts with a white polo. we are in a position to positioned on those somewhat beautiful ties with them too, an excellent form of ladies do no longer, yet I do. I positioned on pants and each little thing thinks i'm extraordinary reason I hate skirts lol. they have an rather strict uniform, so i could only verify with the crucial as a results of fact some faculties variety with uniform.

i went to prep school -- there were stores that were on the ok to buy clothes from list -- usually smaller private stores. You might want to have your parents call the school and see if they recommend anywhere.

I am impressed! You do realize this sorts out alot of the rif-raf charactors that impose worldly clothing ideas (not always so good) on our youths? About where to shop......Its always good to ask around your school ...They generally can provide first hand ideas. This is the case at my job. We wear polo shirts. Co-workers are always *sharing* the best places to get the logo put on the shirt, etc.

Try The Gap. They have a great collection this year. How can you go wrong trying to look like Audrey Hepburn? But seriously, they do have some really cute things in their stores this year. Very clean, very tailored. Sounds like it might just fit the bill for you.

Could you give us a little more information about your school's rules and your budget? That might help you choose your clothing more carefully.

You need to check their Dress-Code first, before doing anything.
