I wouldn't say I was bored with my marriage; rather I've just been tired. Every so often it happens, that I'm bored. I get tired of carrying the marriage in ways I don't think I should have to: sexually, foremost; but care of the home, finances, and recreation, too. Often I try to impel my wife to take more of a role, but soon she falls back on indifference. It's she who must be bored, I think. I too, then, become bored, but I shirk it off and I find ways to lift my own and try to lift her boredom too. It seems its been this way since the beginning. She is very good at what interests her: her 3 grown children. Her life revolves around them. My life revolves around everything else when I can get over being tired by it. And sometimes I try to do a little work, my work.

Before you bag that marriage, try making it fun again! If you find yourself longing for a new partner, you just might need some variety. Consider swinging, you can share a new experience with your hubby which will be excitting and will bring you closer, and open up the doors of communication. Plus you can have your cake and eat it too, so you don't get bored as easily.

i hate to answer a question with a question, but did I miss something? Is it some new rule now that everyone has to be so "hollier than thou" in here? This place used to crack me up, now I read these answers and I just get pissed off. People need to chill out and not be so frkin judgemental and STOP PREACHING. Get a LIFE please you Bush-Voting ignoramouses! .....ok............now to earn my points and get off my rant......yes people get bored, marriage can become boring, esp. if you married the wrong person or the person changed after marriage (hey that happens yall...people change and that can lead to incompatibilty!!!) so you are not alone if you are bored, happens ALL THE TIME so ignore those other stupid self-righteous idiots. I dont know why there is such a pressure and expectation to even GET married.

I thought marriage was about loving someone dearly and wanting to spend the rest of your life with them. I didn't know it was something you could just one day say nah lets quit I'm bored!? It's a commitment it's people like you that marry on a whim that have divorces at such a high rate! Aren't you proud of yourself? You shouldn't be don't pride yourself in dishonesty..saying i'll love you forever then taking it back...that's REALLY cruel and unfair to your husband!

Bored with your marriage is not a reason to leave.
Bored with your marriage is a reason to talk about how to save it.

You're not supposed to get out of a marriage because your bored. You're supposed to be thinking of ways to make it exciting again. That is the challange. Marriage isn't something you walk away from...... the fun is making it fun. Come one - I bet you haven't been married all that long.....
