The nearest major airport is in Orlando, its about 40 miles away.

Either Orlando or Daytona. If it's a Disney ship then definately Orlando. For other ships, if you need airfare you can pick your arrival airport. If your choice isn't the default airport that the cruise line uses there may be an additional fee for "custom air"

Orlando and it is approx. a 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 hour drive depending on traffic.
