My question is, how do u do this? : (there's three problems my neice and i don't understand)

1. x-2 (3x-2) = -6

2. 3/4 (x+9) = 15

3. 1/4 (t+10) = 5

Pleez show work so we can learn! =]
Thank You!

1. x-2(3x-2) = -6
x-6x+4 = -6
-5x + 4 = -6
-5x = -6 -4
-5x = -10
-5x/-5 = -10/-5
x = 2
check:
2-2[3(2)-2] = -6
2-2(6-2) = -6
2-2(4) = -6
2-8 = -6
-6 = -6

2. 3/4(x + 9) = 15
3/4x + 27/4 = 15
3/4x = 15- 27/4
3/4x = 60/4 - 27/4
3/4x = 33/4
(3/4x)/(3/4) =( 33/4)/(3/4)
using cross multiplcation
x = (33/4) *(4/3)
x = 132/7
x = 11
check:
3/4(11 + 9) = 15
3/4(20) = 15
60/4 = 15
15 = 15

3. 1/4(t + 10) = 5
1/4t + (10/4) = 5
1/4t = 5 -(10/4)
1/4t = (20/4) - (10/4)
1/4t = 10/4
(1/4t)/(1/4) =(10/4)/(1/4)
t = 10/4 * 4/1
t = 40/4
t = 10
check:
1/4(10 + 10) = 5
1/4(20) = 5
20 /4 = 5
5 = 5

1. x-2 (3x-2) = -6
3x^2 - 6 x - 2 = -6
3x^2 - 6 x - 2 - 6 = 0
3x^2 - 6 x - 8 = 0

x 1= -1/3 * ( 240)^ .5 x2= 1/3 * ( 240)^ .5

2. 3/4 (x+9) = 15
(x+9) = 15/1/3/4
x+9 = 20
x = 11

3. 1/4 (t+10) = 5
t+10 = 5/1/1/4
t + 10 = 20
t = 10

Tell him ya so!! If he was turned off by it, he would have just ignored you and not teased you about it. Tell him, he'd be an idiot not to know you were crushing on him, and your just sorry it took you writing a note to figure it out. But you gotta say it with a smile and a little sexy attitude. Don't act weird or diffrent....Trust me, he teased you about it, it's ok. Now go ask him what he's gonna do about it, or, I prefer the bold method, and just give him a big ole kiss and get it over with...Good Luck

Multiply everything out, write in the standard form and use either quadratic formula or completing the square.
