I love but hate my futon !!!?

OK. So I must be retarded. I love my futon... but I have a really hard time opening and closing it. Is there a trick that I'm not aware of?

i agree with the wd-40, if you dont have that, any oil, cooking, machine will work. after you get the oil on the hinges, open and close them a few times to get the oild worked into the mechanisms, then you can wipe off the excess..
