It is the popular thing right now. But you really have to be true to yourself. Try it out, but in the end you have to be happy with your own life. No one else will be living it but you.

Hello there, well I am glad it's such a popular thing nowadays, tho it makes things a lot more confusing, because many girls are not really even bi, (kissing a girl is not hard, for anyone, really) and then they date actual lesbians and they break our hearts, buu, well it happens.
It amazed me,the title of your thread "I want to be a lesbian" I never thought I'd hear such a thing!! But, I have this idea,if you HAVE to get tips or stuff to get started then there's not much to work with, in my humble opinion. If You haven't got any further it's either because you have too many prejudges (which i doubt) you are too scared, therefore not too into it or you just don't have the lesbian spark.
You may also just fool around sometimes, that's mm good enough for You?
I hope this helped.
Excuse my english language usage might be weird.

You know I supported the gay community before it was completely cool to do so. I was bicurious before it became a word and the idea was popular. I always thought it would be a good thing for gay culture to be completely accepted and portrayed in the media, but up until recent years, I had some lingering doubts and negative feelings. I do support this community but there's too many girls pretending to be bisexual or gay for seemingly useless reasons. It's alright to be curious and experimental but how about keeping the experiments behind closed doors until one or two of the participants are 100% sure that they are bi or gay.
As for you if you honestly believe you are bi, than good for you. Rock it out in the open, but if you just wanna look cool stay straight.

Don't feel like you have to have a label attached to be a real person. I called myself bi for several years before my girlfriend kinda made me throw out that old diaphragm. Well she didn't make me really, she just made me look at why I still had it in my dresser drawer. So I guess I kinda came out the day I tossed it. I'm not with the same woman now, but the woman I am with I have been with for 23 years.
It isn't cool though. It just is. It's me. ****, I'd hate to think my life was a fad. And if all you want is to be in style then just pierce something or get a butt-crack tat.

If your gay your gay...if your bi your bi...follow your soul...I left a 17 year marriage when I met my soul mate. I knew right then and there we had lived every past life together. She and I have been together now for 14 years and I would do it all again as I will in my next life with her and my next and my next....only you will know if the lifestyle is right for you...it's not society that is making it seem cool and in, it's the fact that we have come out of the closet and are demanding equal rights and there are ALOT of us...one day our lifestyle will be equal to or majority of heterosexual lifestyle because you and all the younger children of today are growing up with our style and are accepting of it and it is then that discrimination will stop...

I understand what you are saying. I read an article about it 2 days ago. Some people want to be gay, cause their surrounding thinks it is cool, or you might find yourself special etc. To be gay is more accepted in the community than a few years ago. In my opinion, if you don't really feel like a lesbian, you better can't act like it. Cause you aren't a lesbian, but just having some interest or something. You should be honest to yourself. Are you really a bi, than you might fall in love to girls also. In that case you don't need to WANT to be a lesbian, cause you are. Don't want to be one, cause other people think it is cool or whatsoever, cause it is your life.

You don't sacrifice your sexual integrity for trendiness! Because it's you-not society- who is going to pay the cost! Do you want to see yourself as a person who will sleep with anything and everything because it's the "cool" thing to do? Suppose they next big trend is sleeping with animals???? Haven't you heard the saying if you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything???? If I was you I would start asking myself why I'm not more considerate of what is going on with my mind and my body? You were not created to be a perpetual sacrifice on the altar of pop culture. Find a real purpose for your life.

Being a Lesbian is apart of who you are.You can't just decide to be gay because you think it's "in" or "cool" It's apart of who you are. If you think you are bi and it's who you are then that's great. Stop being afraid about having a serious relationship with a girl but please don't just do it because it's the cool thing to do. Good Luck with figuring out what your orientation is. (seriously) :)

Then be one! Join the club! Lesbians know how to love women best! Ask any woman who has been with both a man and a woman! Chances are, she'd had it so much better with the woman than with the man!
Sorry, straight men! That's just the cold, hard truth. My girlfriend of 3 1/2 years left her boyfriend to be with me!

If you want to be, I say don't fight it. We are who we are, this is who God created. What is "in" is being yourself. And I hate to think there are people out there being half the person they really are (hence the closet). And sometimes there is just an experimental phase people go through. Part of me thinks maybe EVERYONE is a li'l gay, and only gay people come out. Gay people are pretty happy on the whole. I love love. Be happy just to be, whatever you decide.. :o]
