His eyes, first -- is he alert? playful? intense? Then, his overall grooming -- are his clothes clean, and smell good; is his hair styled / cut / clean? And, last, his overall demeanor --- does he have good posture, and hold himself with some pride, is he "comfortable in his own skin" ? Even guys who may be "average" or "so-so" in the looks-department, can be very attractive if they have confidence in themselves, and a sense of humor. That, is conveyed physically.

Looks are the first thing. The irritating part is that's really the hardest part to really make significant improvments to, bc you didn't choose your checkbones,skill complexion, height.
But what you can is have a really good haircut. Look around at models or guys who have really good hair. Take a picture to a stylist and tell them this is what you want.
Then there's hair products. LA Looks offers hair gels that can really increase the level a guy is performing at. But some girls (at least my own sweetheart) hate this stuff.
Once you've got the hair down. A decent tan (don't overdo it) if your Caucasian. The clothes: doesn't have to be expensive. Just wear clothes that exphasize your muscles. Muscles: hit the gym, load up on protein shakes and they will come. I'm not saying you have to be a body builder type. I'm just saying muscles make a guy look good.
But if things are going to work it's personality. A guy has to be able to communicate, to be confident, to be engaging. This isn't something that anyone can help anyone else with. But you get the drift.
The X Factor. It's something unique about you, that separates you from the rest of the world. It what going to keep that special someone addicted to you.

I'm married, I've had ex's... it would be safe to say military is a good part of what they look at, not all but a good majority... well before this Iraq BS and all the conspiracies surrounding 9/11 that have really killed old fashioned true patriotism and at the same seem to have dropped the whole idea of a guy being in the military down the list of things women look for in a guy... Now it seems guys in the military HAVE to symbolize Bush and his joke of a presidency which obviously wouldn't sit that well with the "good majority" of women as I stated earlier.

Most ladies look for a man is looks and looks attractive, but there are differnt kind of women who like all kinda of different men so I cant really explain it to you. SORRY!

Hair,personality,clothes,humour it depends tho. sometimes u see someone and think omg he is so gorgeous and then thats it ur hooked, and u dont care whether hes a git or gonna turn out to be one! I think if you have a great personality that always shines throught 1st before anything else.I feel in love with my fiance because of his personality but lucky for me he is drop dead gorgeous to go with it!

well when i see a guy, doi when i SPOT da guy apart from all the other guys, that has to mean he's SOMETHING. the guy has gotta be good looking and cute. i prefer asian, so that's like the number one check box i look for. his hair has got to be G-O-O-D. nice sense of style, and good voice. for me, he cant be ages older than me tho. personality is EVERYTHING. if you wanna practice, just randonmly talk to a girl at a cafe or sumthing and pretend to ask for directions. continue from there.

I personly think that great guys have a great personality,fun to be around and not afraid to share thier feelings.But if your talkind about apperence I would have to say the way they smile,the style and hair. Thats whats counts to me

First - the look. Eyes, smile, hair, body, style..I can't explain why, it's just the way it is. Then personality, sense of humor (!!)..attitude. I hate annoying and boring guys:(

oh man...gotta be the hair..is a guy doesn't have longish flippy hair or a young sofisticated cut he's not worth my time..I know it sounds shallow but all my friends will agree...there can be some exceptions if the guy has a perfect personality but that's rare
