I'm having a lot of trouble with many things in my life right now and my grades have been suffering as a result. Has anyone here withdrawn from school before for a semester or so? Was it a difficult process? How does it look on a transcript? Do you need to explain very specifically why you left? Did it hinder you at all? Any experiences would be greatly appreciated.

taking a break for personal reasons would look better on your transcript than bad grades so id recommend with drawling early till you get your situation straightened out cause bad grades will hurt you worse in the end

I was fortunate enough to go straight through and grad in 4 years. That was many years ago. You do what you have to do... but don't loose sight of your goal to graduate. Take community college classes. In the end the thing that matters is you get your degree. Just make sure you are productive during your time off... taking a class or too and working or taking care of personal stuff. Then get back in school!

Do what's best for you!!! I was in University and was having a lot of family problems that made me leave and I regretted it to this day. Talk to someone who could help you. A teacher or someone that has resources for you to find out more on the subject.
