Why do some female models look like hollocaust survivors ?
Is it the designers, or what but some of the female models making it down runways look like hollocuast survivors and there clothes look like they are making a mokery of women ?
Any reasons why ?

Does it have anything to do with the designers...?
Is this some type of 'freudian slip' where they, the designers are actually promoting the 'death' of women ?

well, right now the trend is to be rail thin, so the models starve themselves and are usually on drugs of some sort- which is why they look starved like people in concentration camps.
as for the clothes... yeah... they are usually unwearable for anyone in real life. i think it is all a creative fairy tale that doesn't make any sense. "high fashion" is cultish and bizarre.
i wouldn't say they are making a mockery, but a poor example and role model for real women and young girls especially. as for reasons... most people who are interested in becoming designers see it as up on a pedestal and that these people are so great. in reality, it is a highly competitive market and completely different from how they see it. i think that is because of the way the media has portrayed fashion in the past. it seems as though things are about to start changing? let us hope.

They look like this because they have eating disorders. I don't know who picks them all the time - designers or who else. manybe because it is easier to make a dress that fits a washboard. For a curvy woman, it is a lot of work to make a fitting dress.
They associate weak with feminine.
I'm not even sure it is considered beautiful. To me beatiful means having proportions of a greek goddess. Reasonably thin but strong.

I've heard it's because super-skinny women have less variety. When a woman has weight on her, you don't know where it will be - her breasts, hips, belly, arms, thighs - and therefore, the same size won't fit everybody the same. If you're 6'0" and 120 pounds, you have pretty much no protrusions and you can all wear the same dress. It's so nice to admire the human form, isn't it? LOL

If the models are that thin, the clothes are closer to looking like they're on a hanger, which makes them look better

I'm not sure, but I personally wish we'd go back to the time when BEAUTIFUL was FAT ie... affluent, not an Art History buff...but you know the era when all the nudes had rolls... I'd be a GODDESS...LOL!

Blame society. fashions are practically concepts-washed into thinking that seeing ribs is totally widely used. they think of that designers won't hire them in the event that they are curvy. not all fashions are literally stick figures although.

I guess they still believe you can't be too rich or too thin. The agencies must want them bony but I think it's awful.
