Why is everybody picking on poor America? It's not their fault hundreds of thousands innocent children have been murdered in Iraq and Afghanistan. It's not their fault their President is a buffoon, hell bent on starting the third World War. It's not their fault that they think they're superior to the rest of the world. It's not their fault....What's that song by Billy Joel...'We didn't start the fire"....Actually YES you did.
Definitely Aliens for blaming everybody else but themselves.

There is a condition called mild frontal lobe epilepsy and about 1 in 400 people have it. It can cause vivid dreams and bizarre feelings of being paralysed, being watched and seeing lights. The descriptions of the dreams are nearly always the same and match very closely to the alien abduction scenario. Ever since the X-files put the abduction phenomena into the mainstream, its no wonder that 1 in 1000 Americans thought they were being abducted by aliens. Don't forget, a similar statistic exists in the UK, but it is that people think they are seeing ghosts in their bedrooms rather than aliens. Its the same thing, it just depends what you attribute your bizarre, waking nightmare to. Aliens, ghosts or just a bad case of sleep paralysis.

what is the source, that sounds like a vast exageration or a manipulated survey (changed the wording perhaps).
Most suggests a majority though, and even 1/1000 is obviously not a majority.
I do not think I've been abducted by aliens. Nor do any of the other "Yanks" I know, or any of the Japanese, Brits, Germans, Mexicans, Canadians, Poles, Indians, Pacific Islanders that I know. Never met a person who has... but I would bet that something like 1/100 believe in UFOs that are possibly alien spacecraft, maybe 1/50

Possibly the universe was invaded by an alien sponge like life form that sucked us all in and like a sponge swelled up and kept taking and taking and then multiplied like a sponge compartment upon compartment until the universe became one big sponge blob.
Perhaps alien is a way of explaining why some supposedly human hominids are so cruel..or it's possible that we're all homesick, but we've been bossed bullied and bitched into accepting life in a compartment along with Sponge Bob square pants--only in America, you say?

Not most, but definitely some. I think it's because these people watch too much TV.
I wonder if they think they are seeing a UFO when a certain light reflects up to their windshield at night and then moves away from it. It can really look like a UFO if you really want to see a UFO and don't search for other reasons for what you just saw.
