Does anyone know why M. M. Kaye never wrote any more books?

She wrote, I believe, 9 books- Shadow of the Moon, The Far Pavilions, Tradewind, and six Death murder mysteries. I would have loved to read more books by her. Does anyone know if she ever wrote anything more, and if not, why?

She died about 5 o 6 years ago.
