How soon we forget. It was a hatred reserved for the heretic. They are the same religon.

Stalin really did a good job in painting the National socialist workers party (Nazi's) as fascist. When in name and deed they were socialist and kissing cousins to the communist. They didn't hate the fascist and Hitler and Stalin had a non agression pact in 1938 which allowed the Germans to consentrate on the conquest of France and divided Poland between them.

It is an incovenient fact that Nazi's were left wing not right wing.

well, the word communism is used so loosly that things become scrambled. The thing that the Nazis hated was the ideal expressed by many liberals today. When republicans think of comunism they think of the facist form it took in the soviot union.

stinky: you do realize you compared the conservitives to the Nazi's by saying that Nazi's didn't like liberals. I'm ok with not being liked by a facism.

I don't think Nazi's hated communism so much as they hated the Russians and saw them as competition for European domination. The Nazi's were National Socialists, so they were all about the superiority of the state over individuals, just like Marxists, Leninists, Trotskyites and Bolsheviks.

They liked their way, and their way only. Hated any form of govt, lifestyle, or people not exactly the same as theirs.
If the Republicans can call us communists, then we have every right to call the Bush administration Nazis.

Because communism is the spawn of Satan.

Okay, seriously though. Facism (Hitler) is the complete opposite of communism (Stalin). Communism is far left wing, and facism is far right wing. They didn't get along because they were opposite.

EDIT- I'd much rather live in a facist country than a communist one.

Nazis were not or are not the only ones that hated it. the Nazi's hated it because it was Russian and they hated the Russians. the USA hated it because you can't make money in a communist society.

Natural course of human development will eventually lead to communism.
