I see what you mean.
During the regular season everyone said he sucked but he had some good games. During their short postseason he didn't play good small or long ball. He flat out "Choked" like everyone said he would.
His stats are good for an average player but everyone expects more of him because, like the Bible says, "To whom much is given, much is expected". Steinbrenner gave him a lot of money to win games and he hasn't given him a return on his investment yet.
I believe he will someday, hopefully soon, but us Yankee fans have been waiting for a few years and it's getting tiresome.
He still has my support whether the Yankees get rid of him or not!
And did I mention those eyes? (sigh) They make me weak!

I am a huge yankee fan and probly watched 3-4 games a week and I can tell you A-rod sucks. All his stats Hr's rbi's ect all came in totaly meaningless situations he is the worst clutch performer ever. Also with the lineup he is in just hitting the ball will get you 100 rbi's. Lastly He cant feild for crap anymore everyone holds there breathe at the stadium when it is hit to him. Lastly does 1-13 in the postseason explain anything?

He is a great talent but has problems when performing in the clutch. There are many outstanding athletes that have trouble being in the spotlight. They become self conscience and fall apart. Then there are those outstanding athletes that live for the moment. Derek Jeter, Reggie Jackson, Mickey Mantle, just to name three Yankees who never let the fact that they played in New York bother them. A-Rod compiled most of those numbers when the Yankees were either leading or trailing by a substantial number of runs.

Yankee fans agreedy. They think because he hasn't had years like he did with Seattle or Texas he's bad. Also, he switched to third base so granted his defensive stats are not the best. Being a Hard-core Cubs fan who is also a huge anti-Yanks advocate i still believe A-Rod is one of the premier players in mlb.

He does have a really high salary so because he makes so much every year, people are going to expect him to produce. He didn't do well at all in the post-season and that is when every player has to step up. I still believe he is one of the best if not the best all-around players in baseball. Any team would want him to play for them.

Because he choked. 1 hit in four games. He was supposed to lead the Yankees into another area of championships, but whenever playoff time comes around A-Rod cant get it done. And that kind of play doesnt work with George Steinbreinner so I doubt that A-Rod will be rejoining the Yankees next season.

Simple. Because he doesn't produce when it matters. New York fans DEMAND that their players produce in the post season, and Alex Rodriguez has not done that. Sure, he has good regular season numbers...but he hasn't won a ring and he can't be depended upon to carry a team like Derek Jeter can.

With his salary, he should be getting 55 homers, 150 RBI's, and a .350 batting average. On top of that, he can't perform when the game is on the line and that is the difference between a average player and a great player.

Because he said so himself.
In a cheap $0.05 way to make it all better with the fans and the media. Sure I'll buy that.
I wonder where he's vacationing now?

If I had a 200 billion dollar contract I really wouldn't care if I people thought I sucked or not.
