My iPod is somehow corrupted...?

Whenever I go to connect it to my computer, it sayd the drive can't be found, and every time I turn my iPod on after a while, it always resarts by itself and asks me what language I want the iPod in. Do I send the iPod to Apple or can I fix it myself? If I do have to send it in, how do you, and if I don't, how do I fix it?

I don't know. See mine is screwy too. I put it in my purse and now it won't work......I plugged it into the computer and now it won't charge...nothin' so I feel your pain.
