1. Circumference = 40pi = 2*pi*r
r = 40pi/2pi = 20
If the radius is 20, the diameter of the circle is 40. The side of the square is also 40. Pythagorean theorem gives you
40^2 + 40^2 = c^2
3200 = c^2
c = 56.6

2) Circumference of the circle isi 56pi
240 revolutions would be 240(56pi) = 42,223 in

3) The circumference of the whole circle is 12pi or 37.7 m
150 degrees is 150/360 or 5/12 of a circle
(5/12)(37.7) = 15.7m

4) 144 degrees is 2/5 of a circle.
Circumference = 20pi = 62.8
(2/5)(62.8) = 25.13

5) If the square has an area of 16, each side is 4, which also represents the diameter of each semicircle.
Find the circumference of a circle with diameter 4, divide by 2 because it's a semicircle, and multiply your answer by 4 because there are 4 of them.

Determine the length of the diagnol of a square that has an inscribed cricle with a circumference of 40(PIE)

(Hint: 1)determine the radius. 2)determine a side of the square. 3)use the pythagorean theorem or special triangle relationships to determine the diagnoal

Problem 2

How far will a wheel of radius 28 in. travel if it makes 240 revolutions

Determine the length of the diagnol of a square that has an inscribed cricle with a circumference of 40(PIE)

(Hint: 1)determine the radius. 2)determine a side of the square. 3)use the pythagorean theorem or special triangle relationships to determine the diagnoal

Circumference = pi times diameter so diameter = 40 which is also a side of the square

So its diagonal, the hypotenuse of a right triangle is sqrt (40^2 + 40^2) = sqrt (3200(

Problem 2

How far will a wheel of radius 28 in. travel if it makes 240 revolutions

Its circumference is (28x2) times pi or 56 pi. Multiply this by 240.

There is a start for you, hope it helps
