How many times have you called people by the wrong name..?

I think I'm getting old,I call people by the wrong name
at least once a day..the sad thing is

I really know them well.(smile)
I call my son the dogs name...lol

Many times. I have the same problem. I also have a hard time remembering names.

I've done it a few times and I'm so embarassed when I do...growing up, my mother, my aunt and I all had our first name start with the same initial and my Grandma would always be calling us by the wrong name! I'd get called by my aunt's or mother's name before she'd get to mine and the same for my aunt and mother. I HATED that!

Thank you so much for asking this question. I often think there's nothing new under the sun to be asked on here, but then comes someone like you and something asked like this.

Yes, yes, yes. That's my answer. I do this, too. I think I am prematurely senile or something. I always mix up my dog and my daughter. I forgot my neighbor the first four times I met her. (She still hates me), I forget and even introduce myself by my first married name.

So this question made me feel like it's all good and got me to smile. Take care and remember--a rose by any name smells as sweet!

I do that once in a while but when im on the fone with almost all my aunts,they go like" so how are you,and where id Divine?" and im like "um..this is Divine,you mean Dennis right" and thier like "oh yeaa..i forgot,sorry" isnt there a big difference between Divine and Dennis?

I do roll call when I get around a large group. I can never remember a name

I call my kids by the wrong names all the time..... I'm pretty sure my hubby forgot my name he only calls me Honey LOL

I have good memory and I'm really good with names. But my friend always calls my other two friends by the wrong names all the time. She'll be talking to my friend Aften and she'll call him Derik and then she'll turn to tell Derik what she just did and she'll call him Aften. Its really funny. And my freind Afton calls me and my friend Kayla by the oposite names to. Its quite funny to see how he trys to cover it up. lol....

I nvr do... but my mother calls me my sister's name and vice versa, sad thing is we are 10 yrs apart.... it has become a habit....
