"The Onion" had a good story about the Dems: "Democrats Refuse to Give Up Hopelessness."
They showed pictures of Dems holding signs that read "Keep the Faithlessness," And "Don't Stop Thinking About Giving Up." Those could work.
I think they quoted Ted Kennedy as saying something like , "This election is ours to lose," and "The only thing that stands in the way of our time-honored tradition of snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory would be if we were to develop a coherent vision for America - this would be an insurmountable obstacle to our goal of failure." A lot of good slogans could be woven out of these sentiments.
