Perhaps you don't have her job because you lack proper spelling skills. Spelling is often essential in many jobs. Brush up on your English skills, and then talk to the supervisor above your boss.

The reason she is the manager is probably she is good at delegating work that should be done by her subordinates. Management level work is more about the administrative part of a business and not the on the floor stuff that you have described. Some day you may become manager based on how well and hard you say you are working. This is how the system works my friend.

You might well deserve it, but that's just not the way things work. You'll probably have to go to another company to be a manager... some firm will appreciate you more. It's funny how employers seem to take their employees for granted... sometimes the only way you can get a raise is to jump ship for a better one.

Sounds like you may have outgrown your position.....it comes with being dedicated and hard-working - a natural by-product.

Years ago (and maybe now too) the #2 person in a company like GM went to work for Ford...The #2 (in line) rarely moved into #1 spot in the same company.

Ever thought of working for yourself? If so - and if you are looking, drop me an email. I may have some perspectives that will be useful.

Keep Smiling!

How many "bosses" do you have?

Is your last sentence "I deserve to be managed"?

Then you are right.

I have a co-worker at work who has the same thought as you do - "no one can do the management job except herself" but I don't think she's even 5% there. A good and capable manager is someone who can manage not only others but also herself/himself, and has no problem to be managed as well.

Do you get it?
