ok, whenever i sign onto AIM, one of two things happens:
1) I sign in, and a message pops up saying "AIM has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." (yeah right..)
2) I try to IM someone and the same thing happens
Is there some sort of virus in my AIM?? And I've done the whole uninstall/reinstall thing over a million times..please helpppp

I work in the I.T. dept. at a college. We use AIM Fix on all the systems brought down by our students.

Read the "please read" and click on AIMFix. that will probably fix your problem.

contact AIM tech support and they can help you with thi.s i had this problem but uninstalling and reinstalling it worked for me
it may be a virus in your computer that is causing this to shut down, not in your im. if worst comes to worst, use a different messenger. try trillian- it is a chat medium and you should be able to use it from there.
