With all the new ways such as Debit cards and Paypal?

Cash is King. Debt, credit and even Paypal aren't that smart.
Why ? the banks know for a fact you will spend 15 -25%
more with plastic than cash.

The informed people who want control in their lives go with cash. OH banks can tract you at the Feds demand.
Even Debt cards you can rack up thousands of $$ in overcharge and late fees if you aren't very very careful.

The only places that I use cash at are "Tim Hortons" and "Dollarama" and the farmers market. Debit EVERYWHERE else.

Yes. Sadly that's also how companies keep track of your every step. They know everything about you just by what you purchase.
