Yea push down the clutch while moving rev the motor up and drop the clutch should break the back tires loose, just keep the tires from hooking up again, you might need to shift but with proper breaking and gas you shouldnt have to depends on how you do it really.
Also as far as drifting being a " kids sport " i would like to see you go out on a drift course and be able to control a car sliding around corners at 40+ mph. Yea i didnt think you could either. I have alot of respect for drifters the practice it takes and the control it takes to make a car do that is insane. I think people need to grow up and realize that just becuase it is diffrent doesnt mean that its a " kids sport. "

I understand from car reviews that the new Corvette is so touchy it will pretty much do it all on its own!
If you actually WANT to drift it - and live to tell the tale - practice in a parking lot somewhere. Late at night. With nobody around. And keep 911 on speed-dial just in case.
Oh! And to Mustang65 (above), the Mustang is the "gay little kids wannabe sport", not the 'Vette. Sorry. Your words, not mine.

If any of you were even semi competent when it comes to racing cars, drifting helps you through turns better than any other technique for a rear wheel drive car. Sure you can stay with grip, but you do realize how much you will have to slow down, Drifting allows you to correct your vehicles range of direction and control the inertia which allows you much more speed and control through turns. And please dont try to shoot me down, I've been racing at the local track for 5 years already, 3 with my S2000 (300whp =]) and 2 with my 04 STI (400whp!! =]).
