I always think limewire is good for song downloading :) Hmm... you could look under genre and select country? If you don't have it, you can get it at www.limewire.com .

Do a search for "cowboy songs" "cowboy ballad". When you get the name of some songs, download them from limewire. There might be some search sights that let you download right from there, but those are rare.

Do a search for "Civil War Songs". The songs you think of as "cowboy songs" are not authentic.
