disk: Run under some cold (not ice cold, just from the sink will do) over it and dry with a CLOTH (tissues stick to it and they`re strachy)
I just use a baby wipe though I guess damp (not soaked) paper towl would work for a video game thingy (sorry. I don`t play video games, but who do you think clean my brother`s?)

Toothpaste. The paste, not the gel. I fixed 2 of my son's scratched up games, that wouldn't play at all that way! You put it on, a thin layer. Then let it sit, until almost dry. Then you run it under warm water and slowly rub it away.
