Where men could marry men, and women could marry women, or were married to them? The Bible says that Fornication[which is sex before marriage] Is a sin, and men did not marry, men nor women marry women, So the act of Homosexuality, at any time had to be a sin. Because marrage between same sex was not honored.

Mike L...And criscross, why do you say what the other laws of the old say? this isn`t just in the old testiment, its in the new that Homosexuality is an abomination too, This isn`t about a tooth, or a law from the old testiment, its about YOUR soul, OUR soul, and what we HAVE to live by to SAVE OUR SOUL FROM HELL. Nothing more, Its not about , If I think its right, Or if I think its wrong, Im not the one you have to worry about, IM NOT GOD, Im just telling what the BIBLE SAYS, THATS MY JOB AS A CHRISTIAN.

The things you wrote below, were laws, for SIN sacrafice, the SINS were not done away with, only the laws, which was what they had to sacrafice, BECAUSE CHRIST came to die, so we no longer had to kill animals for our SINS, thanks be to CHRIST, and BTW, the NEW testiment also says homosexuality is wrong.

I'm with you 100%. If I had more people like you jumping in the LGBT once in a while to ask a wise ? like that, more souls could probably come to Jesus. Good work man, even if they report you or give 20thumbs down, don't be discouraged, because the truth has to hurt.
May God bless you!

I think your search for truth is admirable, but a little miss guided. Christ died for ALL of our sins. There is no one among us who does not sin. Therefore your question might be better proposed as let those with out sin cast the first stone. Why are we so judgmental of those people that are different. Jesus charged the apostles with administering to the gentiles even though they were not circumcised. Jesus even included women which was completely unheard of at that time. How can we be so judgmental of others and forget the love that this man died to protect.
Or maybe the best question would be why does everyone concentrate on the things that are sins instead of the love that God really is trying to teach.

theladylooking,
It's like this:
Not sinning doesn't make anyone perfect. The nature of sin is in us. All that is in the Bible. Right? So what's all the chatter about what a sin is or isn't? We are all sinners. A homosexdual might not see what he's doing as a sin, but if he steals, he might think that he's doing wrong there. So my question to you is, why pick on another sinner for whatever you see that is wrong with them? Why not present the Gospel, and let God do the convicting? Are we all supposed to be smarter than God?

yes, the Bible does say all that. In no way does it ever condone same-sex relationships. It also says that no one should mix two different types of fabric in their clothing and that shellfish are an abomination. It says that it's okay for a man in debt to sell his daughter into sexual slavery and that parents can kill a disobedient child. It says it's okay to rip unborn babies from their mothers' wombs if they're not the same nationality as you. (Guess god's pro-choice, eh?) It also says that slavery is just fine and dandy. Guess it's not such a good book after all, is it?
My point is that there's no proof that the bible is anything more than a bunch of books written by a barbaric, tribal people who worshipped a barbaric, tribal god. It means nothing, so it is beyond wrong to condemn an entire group of people based on it.
btw, this is the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendered section of Yahoo Answers. This question looks to me like it belongs in Religion and Spirituality.

the nt is a crock of shiit. If you want the truth, read the ot. And i dont remember it saying anything anywhere about we cant marry.
What I dont get is why its such a concern for you what homosexuals do. Does it in any way affect your day to day life?
If it does, and it bothers you that much, maybe u need to delve further into why that is.
As far as being a christian, it is NOT your job to tell others how to live there lives. A good christian does not hate anyone from what Im told.
Get your head out of your asss and open your eyes, there are much, much bigger concerns for you to worry about.

Lady, stick to Christians who believe in your ways. I do not.
Many others do not. Your hysterical ranting drives far more away from your religion than it brings into your cult. Have you had one convert? One? No? And you won't. Regardless of what it is that you claim, homosexuals have always been around. They are not evil. They are not bad. Your belief is not the end all be all nor is your interpretation the only valid one. One thing I can tell you, those you drive away with your words, in the tiny possibility that your god exists, you'll be answering for each and every one of them that you have driven away with your self-righteous hysterics.
I hope you like your afterlife warm.

read 1 John 13:33-36
33 My children, I will be with you only a little while longer. You will look for me, and as I told the Jews, 'Where I go you cannot come,' so now I say it to you.
34 I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another.
35 This is how all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."
( This is the new covenent...it says nothing about fornication...or homosexuality...or marriage)

Jesus explicitly expresses that we r all sinners deserving of death and they that are sinless cast the first stone. It also states clearly that fornication encompasses all forms of sexual misconduct including sex in a marriage as it takes the soul parly away from God which is a sin. Men married men back in the day and women married women back in the day. Men marry men today and women marry women today and we all bless and thank our own Gods. My thought to u is to get on with it and to concern yourself with things that are relevant and meaningful to YOU and to not concern yourself with things you fail to appreciate..

Well, I guess you could reject arguments against homosexuality found in the Old Testament (Exodus), seeing how there are other pronouncements there that are no longer in play. However, the New Testament letter of Romans, in chapter 1, makes that view problematic, as it references a condemnation of homosexual acts. What to do, what to do...

The bible does not in any way support the marriage of same sex couples. It does however teach us to be loving and accepting of everyone, regardless of how they may act, or what they may believe in. Just because gays are marrying doesn't mean we have to treat them any differently than we would a straight couple. I wondered about this myself for awhile, and looked everywhere in the bible for something to support my beliefs. But God can speak to us in ways besides the bible...He can speak to us here and now, and not thousands of years ago. I've decided that it's important to love everyone as they are, gays included, and leave the judging for God... he's so much more qualified than we are!!
