No you shouldn't take any pills while feeding your child. Your child should take any priority over your hopes of losing weight.

Diet pills can mess with your hormone levels, which are still a little crazy because you're nursing a baby. It's better to just exercise and eat healthy and let the weight melt off naturally (and slowly) while breastfeeding so you don't totally shock your system. After you're finished breastfeeding and those hormones get back to normal, ask your doctor about some type of dietary supplement that might encourage weight loss. If you do it now and don't wait until your body returns to its pre-pregnancy state, you could really do a lot of damage to your metabolism... a.k.a. you'll actually GAIN more weight in the long run than you'll lose.

No diet pill is Safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
But you can take on a healthy diet, together with the breastfeeding itself, you will lose significant pounds.
Take care of what you put in your body, it will be the same you are putting into your baby.

breastfeeding in itself should help you lose weight quicker then any diet pill would. that and a healthy diet and excercise should do the trick.. diet pills arent safe regardless.. and its def. not safe for that diet to pass on to your baby while breastfeeding.. thats like putting your baby on a diet too.. not good

No I talked to my dr when i was breastfeeding and none of them are ok. They all have a stimulate in them that could affect your baby. It is best to just trying to cut out refined sugars and corn sugars out. Cut out the sodas too. That will help you lose. Remember that it took you nine months to get in the shape you are in and it can take up to a year to get back into shape.

no. there is no diet pill you can take at this time. You will just have to eat healthy and excersice moderately (too much excercise and you will loose your milk) Take this time to appreciate your baby, and tell the baby's daddy to shut the hell up about your body, you just gave birth to a fine child.
