ok.... is the such things as similarities between two items? or differences?

They're both. A car tire and a steering wheel on a boat
can both be similar because both are round. They are
different because one is made of rubber and one is wooden.

Why wouldn't there be a such thing as similarities or differences? As far as I know there can always be similarities and differences. Sorry if that doesn't help much.

You definitely need some help with YOUR language arts. Do you mean "compare and contrast"? A dog and a cat are similar in that they are mammals, have fur and four legs (compare). They are different in that one purrs and the other barks (contrast). Is this anywhere near what you are asking?

Do you mean similies?Similies are sentences that use like or as to describe somthing.I don't know a term for differences besides differences.
