I have this problem in math and they gave me a table of numbers and I have to write an equation. So here's the table:

In the first column the numbers are: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10

In the second column the numbers are: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7

In the third column the numbers are: 0, 2, 5, 9, 14, 20, 27, 35

What I have to do is write an equation for how you find the numbers in the third column if all you have are the first and second columns.

Complicated. I'm working on it too.

3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10
0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
0 2 4 9 14 20 27 25

Got it
(Third row + 3) - (first row) = second row.

So
FINAL ANSWER IS:
Second Row + First Row - 3 = Third Row

Sweet, I got it first, lol.

Let A be your number in your first column

Let B be your number in your second column

Let C be your number in your third column

The formula for getting your C in your third column is to take A*B then divide by 2

A B C
--------------
3 0 0
4 1 2
5 2 5
6 3 9
7 4 14
8 5 20
9 6 27
10 7 35
----------------

I wish I could give you a formula for how to come up with the answer in the first place. All I did was stare at the numbers and try to discern a relationship between them until I figured it out. Sorry! I'd like to give better help so you can do these types of problems on your own. I don't think it's meaningful to you (or other askers) if I just answer them without an explanation, but I'm sorry I have no explanation in this case.

Good luck to you kid!

f = first column
s = second column
t = third column

(f x s)/2 = t

e.g. (8 x 5)/2 = 20
