My back is out of alignment very bad. I have had xrays and my neck, upper and lower back and hips are all out. I have been visiting a Chiropractor for about 3 or 4 weeks now. My main complaint in my upper back. The last 2 or 3 time that I have gone, when she popps my upper back it hurts. Almost like I can't breath. It is a sharp pain. It will be a little sore afterward. Is this normal?? The other parts that she pops do not hurt, like my lower back. And, it used to now hurt when my shoulder popped, but now it does.

I started seeing chiropractors since 1986. The 1st ! hurt me real bad by my brastrap in the middle of my back. STILL HURTS!! I tried another when I moved out of town. I found out he was great & very caring, but I moved away from Appleton to Brillion & found 2 nice ones there, whew. Getting alot of opinions, different ways of doing things from Dr.s helps alot & yopu will find the right one. The pain will go away if you practice what he tells you, like sitting up straight everywhere, exercises that he tells U 2 do, etc.

You should not be in that much pain. It sounds as if the Doc is forcing when the tissues are inflamed. And now your tensing up. I would try a different Chiro

Sounds like you need a second opinion. Try some type of Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist.
