August 10, 1985...a few mies outside of Rangoon the capitol city of what was then Burma but is now called Myanmar. I was on a muddy road with my wife, on our way to visit the public exibition at an archeological dig during outr honeymoon. The car lost traction and slid down the hill. I was unable to navigate the sharp turn at the bottom and the car sent off the road, flipped, slid an dspun 30 feet, landed upright, I was thrown out, she wasn't. I got her out and behind a tree just before the car burst into flames. She died a few minutes later.

I would redo deicding to go out to that site that day....rather have missed it that day than have to miss her for the rest of my life....NOTan equitable trade....

this is a tough question to answer. If you have read the book : the five people you meet in heaven: it clearly illustrates the complicated web of people, events and timing that defines a life. sorry i do not have a simple answer... or any answer.
