Why is it that everytime the Democrats lose in elections they blame the voting machines? I'm sure most of you have voted and its not exactly brain surgery.

They can't look at themselves and say why aren't people voting for me? Not the darn voting machine cheated me!

The Dems approach seems to be to do and say anything to deflect attention away from the extremely simple truth: more people voted for the other side.

Simple, no? I can't for the life of me figure out why they act like 13-year olds about this fact.

Some of it might just be whining, but there might be something to it. If Florida in 2000, depending on how the rulings went for the recount it could just as easily have been Gore winning, then the Republicans would be whining.

In 2004, there is legitimate statistical evidence that there MAY have been some corruption. There was an extensive report done by a reputable group of statisticians that found enough evidence to call for an investigation. This was not a poitically motivated study, it was an investigation into why the exit polls were so far off by people who think statisticians should be searching for truth through data. As one of them told me just today, "Some people are less happy with the truth than others."

People who are interested in truth would want this investigated. Unfortunately most people in politics are not interested in truth, regardless of party. They're interested in winning. And in name-calling.

Considering that a county in Texas had three different candidates in three different precincts end up with 18,181 votes, and in Boone County, Indiana (just north of where I live) had more votes counted than there are people in the county, I'd say people have a right to be suspicious of the validity of the machines.

Also, I would like explained exactly why the exit polls in states that Bush won were accurate to an average of less than one percentage point, while the exit polls in states where Kerry was projected to win were off by an average of more than 3 percentage points - sometimes as high as 8 percentage points!

Why, when the US oversees an election in the Ukraine, or Haiti, or Iraq are exit polls considered to be an accurate predictor of outcome - and in fact have been used by our own and other international organizations to overturn corrupt elections - but when they're that far off in our own nation - nothing happened.

I understand. I think Democrats are whiny too - and I am one. But we ALL need to be worried about making sure that our elections are as accurate as they can be. If Dems do take over in the Midterm and all of the sudden it appears that everything close or questionable starts going the Democrats way no matter what preliminary and exit polls say, we all should be suspicious. When you're on the losing side of everything - even though everyone thinks you're going to win - I want you to remember this.

And to prove my point - is there a single person on your side who had any evidence of anything - or did they just post b!tchy little comments? That's "all Republicans" do on here - if I can generalize as much as you do.

What will Republicans do if/when they lose the House and Senate? My guess is they'll whine, ***** and moan about - as stated above "illegals, dead people, etc." Because that's their constant M.O. Generalizations are easily applied to either side of the fence. So, if you're going to play that game (as you "all" are willing to do), then I'm going to play it too.

They know how many votes they should have, they drove around all election day tom all those polling places and voted! Maybe they should ask Jimny Carter stay home and observe our election. He probably would decline as the USA is not a dictatorship!

The Democrats love to play the game and give the name. Anything negative MUST be the fault of the Republicans!

You are naive and young, aren't you? You are speaking of the prime example of Republicans, but you must be too young to remember the great state of Florida...
